10 reasons why you should participate at EURAM 2005

1. Build your network: In total, we expect more than 600 participants. More than 750 papers were submitted to the general call for papers, and there will be additional invited speeches, panels, keynote presentations etc. More than 100 distinguished scholars are involved in the conference organization as track chairs. We expect that EURAM 2005 will become the leading and most influential conference for the European management community in 2005.
   
   
2. Extended opening event: The opening event on the first day (May 4) will become a major conference highlight: Prof. Eric von Hippel, MIT, and Prof. H.J. Bullinger, President of the Fraunhofer Gesellschaft, the world's largest research organization (and the guys who brought you mp3), will talk about innovation and social responsibility.
   
   
3. Interact and discuss with your peers: EURAM 2005 features plenty of new ideas enhancing your interaction experiments. Special networking activities will help to build new networks (e.g., to apply for EU grants).
   
   
4. Learn about forthcoming trends: Selected authors will present upcoming books in a special book track. So learn about their thoughts before their books are published for a general audience.
   
   
5. Listen to inspiring presentations: In addition, our keynote and plenary speaker (see here for a list) will provide plenty of input and new ideas.
   
   
6. Get published: The European Management Review will publish an issue with the conference's best papers. In addition, many tracks will publish special journal issues or books with the appropriate track papers.
   
   
7. For Ph.D. students, the Doctoral Consortium (Pre-Conference activity) is a valuable means to interact, network and receive external feedback to their dissertation projects.
   
   
8. Affordable admission fee: Consider that in the participation fee all taxes, the EURAM membership, the subscription of the European Management Review, conference transportation, three lunches, coffee breaks, the opening reception, and the official dinner is included. Most conferences charge these items extra, but at EURAM 2005 there are no hidden fees.
   
   
9. Enjoy and have fun: In addition to the official conference program, high-quality social activities will allow you to exchange with colleagues and new friends in an informal atmosphere.
   
   
10. Experience Bavarian culture and the beautiful city of Munich: May is one of the best months to visit, so take your family and head to the mountains after the conference.s
